Both Photoshop and Facebook have effectively made the leap into the mainstream, so much so, that they’ve spawned their own verb tense, as in: “I’ll photoshop a nasty, and facebook the senator”…

Business-to-business retouching. A decade ago, people had not heard of Adobe Photoshop, or at least, Photoshop had not become a mainstream term. Now that a number of high-profile cases of image doctoring have come into the public conscious, people talk about it more than they used to. Another thing that put Photoshop on the radar is social media. Both Photoshop and Facebook have effectively made the leap into the mainstream, so much so, that they’ve spawned their own verb tense.
